Terms of Use
Effective August 1, 2026
These Terms govern use of the SoCal Receptionist website and self-service AI receptionist platform operated by SOCAL RECEPTIONIST LLC. Business customers also sign the Service Agreement displayed during onboarding. If these Terms conflict with a signed Service Agreement, the signed agreement controls.
Service
SoCal Receptionist provides AI-assisted inbound call answering, business-information responses, lead capture, email notifications, call transfer, and optional appointment booking through Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook/Microsoft 365. Features depend on account configuration and may change.
Pricing and free trial
New eligible accounts receive one 30-day free trial beginning when the receptionist is activated. No payment card is required to start. Paid service is $69 per month or $690 per year. There is no setup fee.
If you add a payment method, you authorize recurring charges through Stripe after the displayed trial end date. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. Cancel before the trial ends to avoid the first charge. Paid fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
Self-service onboarding
The conversational setup assistant extracts information from your answers. You must review the information before activation and keep business hours, services, transfer numbers, notification addresses, and policies accurate. Support is available at support@socalreceptionist.com.
Acceptable use
You may not use the service for unlawful activity, fraud, harassment, spam, prohibited goods, impersonation, security attacks, or communications for which you lack required consent. You are responsible for laws that apply to your business, including call-recording, privacy, consumer-protection, and messaging requirements.
AI limitations
AI responses may be inaccurate or incomplete. The service is not a licensed legal, medical, financial, tax, or other professional adviser. You are responsible for reviewing how the receptionist represents your business.
Phone numbers and third parties
Numbers provisioned by us remain under our control unless agreed otherwise in writing and may be released after service ends. The service relies on providers including Twilio, OpenAI, Supabase, Resend, Stripe, Google, and Microsoft and may occasionally be unavailable.
Cancellation and suspension
You may cancel through the Stripe billing portal. Paid access normally continues through the current billing period. We may suspend or terminate service for nonpayment, abuse, unlawful use, fraud, or security risk.
Disclaimer and liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, SOCAL RECEPTIONIST LLC's total liability will not exceed the fees you paid during the three months preceding the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages.
Governing law
California law governs these Terms. Disputes will be resolved in state or federal courts in Riverside County, California.
